Granja Tuqueque es de esos sitios que imaginabas que eran bonitos pero que te impresionan aún más cuando estás allí. Es de esos lugares que superan tus expectativas, o al menos para mí fue así. Llegas, luego de unos 10-15 minutos de subir la montaña, y te encuentras rodeado de árboles y animales, incluso parece que no estás en la playa. Pero una vez que caminas hacia el fondo y te paras al final del camino, te encuentras con todo el azul del mar, que desde allí arriba parece infinito.
La posada está ubicada en pleno Parque Nacional Morrocoy, en el sector San Rafael, es por eso que desde allí puedes observar perfectamente los cayos de la zona. Para llegar hasta Granja Tuqueque la carretera es totalmente de tierra por lo cual solo podrán subir en su carro particular si es una camioneta, pero si no tienen un rustico ni nada por el estilo, no se preocupen, en la posada les ofrecen el servicio de transporte diario hasta el embarcadero por un precio bastante accesible, y tienen un estacionamiento propio para dejar su automóvil a la llegada. Además, de esa manera, ustedes no se preocupan ni por manejar. Los embarcaderos para tomar los peñeros están a unos 20 minutos de distancia y si ustedes lo quisieran, en la misma posada pueden ayudarlos con el alquiler de lanchas privadas.
Allí hay tres cabañas perfectas para viajar en familia, amigos o pareja. Cada casa tiene capacidad para entre 4 y 6 personas y cada una tiene su propio diseño. Todas cuentan con cocina propia, parrillera, nevera, aire acondicionado, televisor, agua caliente, porche con hamacas y dos de ellas con jacuzzi privado.
Funciona como posada y como granja de contacto a la vez. Tienen burros, avestruces, guacamayas, pavos reales y hasta los perros de la casa de sus dueños, salen a darte la bienvenida. Además ofrecen deportes acuáticos como kayak y paseos en motos cuatro ruedas. Allí tienes todo lo necesario para desconectarte por completo y disfrutar de unos días lejos de la ciudad.
La posada es atendida por sus propios dueños, junto con el personal, en su mayoría nativos de la zona, y que en conjunto trabajan como una gran familia. También tienen una panadería con el mismo nombre, donde pueden ordenar comida sin tener que moverse o donde podrán comprar las cosas necesarias para llevar a la playa. No dejen de probar las trenzas de chocolate y la torta de Nutella.

«Granja Tuqueque» is one of those places that you have imagined that were beautiful but that will impress you even more when you are there. It is one of those sites that exceed your expectations, or at least for me it was so. You arrive, after about 10-15 minutes of going up the mountain, and suddenly you are surrounded by trees and animals, even it seems that you are not on the beach. But once you walk towards the bottom of the lodge and you stop at the edge, where you have an amazing view, you find all the blue of the sea, which from there above seems infinite.
The inn is located in the heart of Morrocoy National Park, in San Rafael area, which is why you can observe perfectly the beaches of the area from there. To get to «Granja Tuqueque», the road is totally dust, so you can only get in your car if it is a truck, but if you do not have a rustic car or anything like that, do not worry, the inn offers you the service of daily transportation to the pier for a fairly affordable price and they have their own private parking lot so you can leave your car on arrival. In addition, you do not have to worry for driving. The piers to take the speed boats to go to the closest islands are about 20 minutes away and if you want, in the inn they can help you with the rental of private boats.
There are three cabins perfect for traveling with family, friends or in couple. Each house can accommodate between 4 and 6 people and each one has its own design. All of them have their own kitchen, barbecue, refrigerator, air conditioning, television, hot water, porch with hammocks and two of them have private Jacuzzi.
It works as an inn and as a contact farm at the same time. They have donkeys, ostriches, macaws, peacocks and even the dogs of their owners’ house come out to welcome you. They also offer water sports, such as kayaking, and four-wheel motorcycle rides. There you have everything you need to completely disconnect and enjoy a few days away from the city.
The inn is attended by its own owners, along with some really nice staff, mostly natives of the area, who work together as a family. They also have a bakery with the same name, where you can order food without having to move or where you can buy the necessary things to take to the beach. Do not forget to try the chocolate braids and the Nutella cake.
